“We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.”
Lauren and Reza met in high school and have been together ever since. Sometime in college, Lauren explained their love to Hannah, her roommate turned maid of honor, with the above quote. Hannah shared it with the guests during her speech, admitting that, at the time, she really couldn't grasp the concept. Lauren and Reza knew something about love that many of us at that young age can hardly fathom.
Years later, Lauren and Reza were engaged. No one was surprised, but everyone was thrilled. All of their friends and family knew that Lauren and Reza had always been leading up to this moment.
When Lauren's father walked her down the aisle, Reza lost himself at the sight of her. He could hardly take her hand. Lauren's dad continued up to the altar where he presided over the wedding. In such an intimate place, with just the closest of friends and family, Lauren and Reza proclaimed their love and their weirdness, and the whole dang church cried happy tears.
Lauren and Reza, it was such an honor to be your photographer. You two are awesome and your family and friends were fun and gracious. I'm so glad I got to be a part of your day. Hope you had fun in Mexico! -bkm
