Great! You'd like for us to work together. I am STOKED. So...what, now?



We coordinate a date and time. I require a 50% deposit to hold the date. I send invoices through Paypal, but you can absolutely send a check if you'd like.

We brainstorm session ideas. Location, outfits…props? Halloween costumes? Want to have a picnic in your favorite park then stroll through Atwater Village? Do the kids have a very favorite playground? 

I'm down! I want YOU to have a say in your session. Of course, I'm always here to help and brainstorm, but the more you are involved, the more meaningful the photos are! 

The session fee balance is due a week before the session. I'll send you a Paypal invoice way in advance.



Time limits: I don't have time limits, unless it's a sunset session and we're fighting for natural light, of course! Typically sessions last about 1.5 hours, then everyone starts to get a little whiny (adults, included!).

For the littles: Bring a favorite toy, or one that actually fits in with the theme of the shoot. Giving small children something to hold, look at, interact with can be great for photos. Also, bring bite-sized snacks as a last resort! 

For this session, Mom & Dad brought Jason's yellow duck - one of their son's favorite toys - purposely chosen to not clash with their outfits. Little man was entertained and comforted by his fuzzy friend, the photos look great, and Mom even said that documenting Jason's favorite toy will be even more meaningful when he's older. That's a win, win, win my friends!


Let your freak flag fly! We're coming together to make art out of…YOU! And your family! Bring your true colors and I'll be there to capture it. I tell my clients, "Cheesy looks good in the camera," and it's true - but don't mistake my meaning. I don't want you to be anyone else's "cheesy." You should ham it up in your very own special way. 


We set up a time to meet within 4-6 weeks so that I can present the photos to you in person. It's important to do this for so many reasons, not the least of which is that my screens are color calibrated - I want you to see your images as I see them! Also I can answer any questions you have about additional editing, prints, or albums right there, in person. (Click those links for more info!)


FINE PRINT (or, not so fine. no surprises!)

Refund Policy: Saturday/Sunday sessions must be rescheduled or cancelled on or before Tuesday/Wednesday respectively. (That's 3 calendar days of notice.)

Monday-Friday sessions must be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours notice. 

If these deadlines are not met, the deposit is forfeited unless I am able to schedule a last minute session. (The session balance will be returned to you.)

Inclement Weather: The session may have to be postponed due to bad weather. In this case, the session fee will transfer to our new date. 

Tardiness: It is vital (especially for sunset sessions!) that the client is on time! If the session cannot take place or be "finished" due to client tardiness, there will be no refund.
